This finely crafted Barn Swallow Intarsia Magnet/Ornament features a beautifully detailed bird carving created through the intricate artform of intarsia woodworking. Versatile and charming, it adds the perfect touch of nature-inspired art to any fridge or holiday tree.

Dimensions are approximately 3" by 4" and weighs 1-2 oz. Made from 15 segments of maple, chakte viga, maple (stained blue) and Peruvian walnut. This is a one sided item.

Intarsia is a mosaic art form that uses small segments of wood to make an image. We use varying depths and carving techniques to create a 3-D illusion. Each segment is carefully hand-cut on a scroll saw then individually shaped. After a quality check, the segments are glued together then attached to a backing board for added strength. No stains or dyes are used in the creation process unless otherwise noted. The work is finished with several coats of clear lacquer.
