Our Sleeping Cat intarsia wall hanging is made from 30 segments of maple, Peruvian walnut, cherry, & monkey pod. Wood grain and color will vary some. No stains or dyes are used. Dimensions are approximately 8" by 8". The backside is flat allowing the item to rest nicely against the wall. Sawtooth hanger comes attached.

Intarsia is a mosaic art form that uses small segments of wood to make an image. We use varying depths and carving techniques to create a 3-D illusion. Each segment is carefully hand-cut on a scroll saw then individually shaped. After a quality check, the segments are glued together, attached to a backing board for added strength, and a hanger is added to the back. No stains or dyes are used in the creation process unless otherwise noted. The work is finished with several coats of clear lacquer.
